Anyway, I am obsessed with this book. I found Falling Too Late through BookishBubblyPR. It is an EXCELLENT Book PR group with a vibrant, hilarious discord community and MASSIVE arc reader list. I cannot recommend it enough and the plans start out really affordable. Author, Dae Graves, is one of the authors who use the service and she is a delight. We connected immediately and I knew I had to read her book. She helped me brainstorm a lot of this website and has now done a discord for authors in Idaho. So, Idaho authors go give her a shout to be added.

Falling Too Late is the story of Wren and Alex. Wren is abused from a young age until she meets Alex. Through a series of time hopping chapters we watch Alex and Wren’s story unfold. This is truly Dark Romance, but you won’t find anything done for shock value. Every traumatic moment serves a purpose and every little detail is handled with intention. There was nothing at the end of the story that had me saying “wait what about that??”

There are many things that make a book great for me and one of those is outstanding character writing. Dae had the twists and turns, absolutely and that ending was something, but her character writing was outstanding. The depth that Alex and Wren had gave situations that could have been disgusting just for shock, and made them meaningful and gut wrenching.

Again, TRIPLE CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS, but if dark romance is your thing this book is definitely one to check out.
